The methodology.
The public ledger is an observation window into the challenge. Its figures need a clear basis and context.
01. One portfolio, normalized
The challenge tracks the whole portfolio. Actual account capital and personal details remain private. The public series starts at a normalized $100,000, not the actual account balance.
02. How returns are calculated
The series chains broker-reported daily time-weighted USD whole-portfolio returns: each day's factor is one plus that day's return. Cumulative return is the product of those factors minus one; normalized value applies the same cumulative factor to $100,000. Source returns may be rounded, so published figures inherit that rounding.
Dividends, fees, financing, and foreign-exchange effects are reflected to the extent they are included in the broker-reported return. This describes the source's treatment, not an independent audit of those components.
03. Checks and interruptions
Automatic daily checks are enabled. Publication requires a completed, verified session. Deposits or withdrawals currently pause updates until their treatment is verified. If data is late or invalid, the last good published values remain visible; missing results are not invented.
04. Delayed, selective executions
Selected executions may be disclosed in batches after a minimum of five completed US trading sessions. Disclosures are selective, not a complete trading history or real-time signals. Actual capital, holdings quantities and values, and execution prices and quantities are not part of the public view.
